Look down the throat of the carbies - should be embossed on the radius of the choke - circled in red here

I just checked like you said. It's smoothe as the bonnet of a Porsche in there. No markings at all. I've given them a good clean up, tooth brush and all and they've come up brilliant. Side note though, they are Italian Webers made in Bolongna, not the Spanish made ones. Apparently Italian is better or so I've heard. Anyone confirm? Numbers on the carbys: TIPO: 40DCOE28 Part No# 10194403
TIPO: 40DCOE28 Part No# 10182503

Whip open the jet cover (the domes held down by thumbscrews on the top cover), take out the jets and have a look! The values will be stamped on the jets (easily removed with a broad, flat screwdriver). There are 3 values on the big jet, and one on the smaller jet for each barrel.
Really need to know the choke sizes - easy enough to loosen the locking bolts on the underside of the carb body, slide out the aux vents (which also have a useful value stamped on them) and then the chokes which you can have a better look at or attempt to measure with a ruler or something.
If they have 34mm chokes I might just take them...

Okay, here's what specs i've gotten when i pulled one apart. I wasn't sure what i was looking for with the jets(not very tech minded with carbs yet) So it's a 33mm choke. It's made from billet aluminium so it would be easy to get bored out or even replaced
