Essex unleaded conversion

My engine is apart so I thought I should convert to unleaded whilst the heads are off.

What is required to do the conversion? Just valve seats? and are they available in Australia??

Any info would be great and anyone had this conversion done in Sydney?

thanks

Some like to use new bronze valve guides as well, but normally it's just new exhaust valve seats as a minimum. You may also have to get new exhaust valves depending on the condition of the surface of your existing valves that contacts with the seat.

I would think that new seats would be available here as they are essentially a 'blank' which is pressed into the head and then machined to suit.

Any good engineering/machining shop should be able to do this for you.

ULP conversion with seat and K-liners for the guides with a lap in costs about $900 if you remove and re-fit the heads
