Door Trim Backing Cards

Just looking for some feedback on an idea I have.

As most of you know, its near impossible to find doors cards for Mk2 Escorts that are in a usable state (in current format or for refurbishment). The headache stems from where the backing card has to fold over the top of the door and slot into the inner door/window rubber. I'm not aware of anything after market and any of the trimmers aren't looking for the heartache and frustration when they can re-work flat door cards for many other cars.

Just looking to guage the level of interest in being able to supply a fibreglass backing card that you can take away for trimming.

I'd want to know how many people are interested and what you think is a fair price to pay.

I realise there are many issues to address including what a trimmer can work with, freight damage, but I'm basciallly seeing if there would be enough interest to pursue this a bit further.

Just shoot me an email (wick31@bigpond.net.au) and let me know if you'd be interested in 2 or 4 door and what is a fair price (so I can work back the costings to see what price it can be produced for)

Thanks

In the January edition of Classic Ford on page 25 they have 2 door, door card sets from west whales rally spares in the U.K.(front & rear) for 120 quid that's only a little over $200 aus these days.
