locked diff??

well my mk1 is havinga break from the road soon but i want to take it for 1 last hurah (burnout) , i currenly have a standard 2 ltr diff in there & want to know the best/cheap way to lock it, not to fussed about it breaking [:x)] & i'm going to rebuild the hole car...again [:p]

any help really appreciated.

    best way is lsd, cheapest is weld the center

    yeah just get the 'ol mig out.

    my diff "double-peggs" all the time cuz shes almost out of life [:x)]

    Doing a locked diff for one burnout is alot of effort.

    Having said that, get a decent mig and some 4-5mm steel plate, measure up in between sungears, cut to shape a little rectangular type bit, drop it in and weld it in all the way round. Do this on both sides and you wont break and welds only axles.
