    Cheap/rare car....what a bloody bargain....neat as a pin too!

Pull the 2.8L V6.....and store it....slot in a 5L efi from a EA/EB/ED/EF and it would be a barn stormer!!!

If I had the money it would have been sold by now.

Sorry Jason i did not see your post till now!!

    thanks for the kind words!
yes the car is in pretty good condition for its age. obvioulsy its had a little bit of care over the years but still has a few things to make it mint... but its a great start or great little package for the price i reckon!
me personally i prefer the xr4i over the xr4ti... but apparently the xr4ti has a stronger shell (similar to the race rs500 shells)

this car is worth the money..so if anyone is interested give me a call or an email.. or come have a look :-) these are pretty rare and if you do have the time or the money a v8 will go straight in... in South Africa the sierra came out standard with a v8 so buying standard mounts (exchange rate etc would be awesome from Aussie $ to Rand)!!! its just finding someone trust worthy over there thats the problem!!

    anyway.... cars still for sale

    HAHAHA
Grant the new drive way has been sealed with this new stuff..
no escort or classic ford fitted with a pinto will ever leave its signature again!! no matter how much oil is dripped!! bring the escort around and give it a go!!!! the oil washes off with the hose mate!! [%]

    wow!!!

this is such a nice car, didn't realise we even got them in Australia besides the few that were in the atcc.

definately wouldn't go with a v8 in it though would completely destroy weight distribution, a worked N/A cosworth or 3SGE Beams would be the go.

Good luck with the sale its extremely cheap so should sell pretty quick if not theres always ebay.

It's looking good Ty. This car is definitely a good buy at this price. I will back Ty up as I owned the Sierra for a number of years and can confirm that the car is in good condition. The last few owners have spent considerable time and money getting this car back to the condition it is in today. Parts are easy to get so don't let that deter you. Mechanically it is solid and performs well so there would be no reason to remove the original engine. But the fact that in South Africa they had the 302 V8 version makes it an attractive option. I personally was seriously considering transplanting a cossie 24v V6 into it! I was sad to see it go but had to rationalise as I had too many projects on the go. So will someone please grab this bargain and have some fun!

    P.s. My Pinto's don't leak any oil!
