That Estate is my favourite Mk1 Corty in Australia. I dream of one day owning an Estate. I remember seeing photo's of that thing the first time it rolled into a show and I flipped out. At that point I don't think it had the bonnet scallops and that is the only thing I'm not sure if I like about it, but super cool car in my opinion.

Old topic resurrection.

Just for the fun of an update on this car......

I sold it! It was a sad sad day too. I had the car over 15 years and sold it about 1 month ago.

The good news is that the new owner intends to completely restore the car. I saw the car 4 days after he took posession of it and the boot and bonnet were already off and stripped ready for primer and the roof also had been prepared. I'm tipping by now the car is a fair way along.

So for me it was bitter sweet as it was sad to see the first car i ever bought driven off by a stranger, however I never would have got around to fixing it up the way it deserved.

Now it's onto bigger and better things for me.

Time to own something with a big block

...you buying a house on a large allotment of land?

Sorry to hear the Mk 1 has moved on, but am excitied to hear another page in your car ownership career is opening.

Any idea's on what is next? The 2.6L Astron in Sigma's was always referred too as the 'big block' of 4 cylinders[88].....amd I close?

I'm guessing either a Mustang or a Shelby

That's if I'm correct on assuming that 429ci big block is a Ford.

Hehe...... all nice thoughts and I like the idea of the brute horsepower, however think a little less traffic light demon and a little more luxo highway cruiser. Not only Ford had 429's......... so did Cadillac
