hey there. yes im a newbie, so hello to everyone. Im currently building a mk2 4 door just to be a little different,... it is being built for the track although i will be running it road registered., so far, i have 6 point cage, Holden hr brake conversion, koni suspension, hilux lsd, custom engine mounts to chassis rails, tunnel has been modified, gear lever hole has been repositioned, mounts have been fitted for buckets, and of course the ca is freshly rebuilt with ported and polished head so far. once i see the engine running, i will be upgrading turbo, injectors, throtle body, larger intercooler, and whatever else catches my eye. trying to get the last expensive things done on my conversion... it has been a long painful task. but on the weekend i finally got the engine and box bolted up and the brakes and suspension fitted in properly.
here is what i need if anyone can help me with contacts or advice.
I am chasing a flare kit and front spoiler so i can fit some decent rubber, which seems harder than i would have thought.
also, i need to know what other people have been doing with their fuel pump and fuel lines, as this conversion would be quite similar to an sr... are you using silvia or 180 lines or a full custom setup? and how many lines from the tank is there supposed to be?
Has anyone moved the handbrake before? if so, did it need to have strengthened fixing points? or is it fine bolted to the top of the tunnel in another location?
i guess this will do for now, im sure im going to have many more questions, cheers in advance.
I am in brisbane, so if anyone knows of any well priced conversion guys i would be pretty happy to just pay someone to finish it.
