15" wheels

Hi All,
My recent attempts to sell the RS haven't been successful, it seems to be that buyers want the period correct look. Paint and decals I can take care of but am looking for some more period correct wheels, but have to be 15's for clearance for the rear discs. Buy/ swap here in QLD preferably, need to keep costs down. Also anyone had experience with the fibreglass duck's bum- fitment good/ not good? Any members got one for sale?
Cheers, Len

    Hi Len,
sorry to hear the RS has been slow on the take up, it looks good in the pics.
If its any consolation , I think many more projects are coming on the market, and prices are coming back to only 1/2 crazy, not full nuts.
Good idea to modify the car back a little, maybe take the old add down if you havent already.
You should be able to find a set of 15" minilights around, there are a few come up on the Escort group.

I dont know if you have seen this group, just for 4x108 wheels, post there also

I fitted the lower front fibreglass Rally type spoiler as in my avatar, it fitted ok. I think the rear bootlid repros would be ok, but havent seen one fistrhand.
Rims, spoiler, and maybe look at the decals and you might get a different crowd.
    Good luck!

Hi Len, I'm a fglasser by trade and still do a handful of parts for Escort mk1/mk2 , Capri.
The molds I use are mine , luckily I have a mk2 escort rear spoiler mold RS/rally pack .
Now this bit might steer you off, I make them in mostly black gelcoat but might be a color depends on my attitude at the time!
It will need some sanding/shaping to match the boot curve, this is easy to do and also sand it back, prime and paint. I do supply it with metal strips inside for attaching self tapping screws etc . The other steer off is I'm in Adelaide, but can use BigPost thru my work to ship it to you . Price is $160 + post

    Hi Marty,
That sounds good, black gelcoat ideal as the spoiler is meant to be black. Spacing for studs to mount  as per original makes for a neat install. Price looks good- could you work out freight to go to Townsville QLD 4817?
