Ford SOHC Head Manufacturing Date

Hi All,

Not sure if this topic has been covered before.
Are the Ford SOHC heads dated at the time of casting?
On the flat cast surface adjacent the valve springs there is a small raised round clock cast in the head with digits 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and an arrow pointing to one of the digits.
Is this the year the head was cast?
I have a complete EB engine and the casting manufacture date is very clear.
However the non EB castings (I assume manufactured in the USA) are not so clear.

Thanks,
:)

This is what I found on mine. Original head, February 1980 RS2000

And this one between 3 and four inlet ports.
