UNKNOWN CONDITION OF A KENT 1100 OR 1300 COMPLETE ENGINE DESIRABILITY

Hi all
have been made aware of a 1100 or 1300 complete engine left out in the weather on its side with no rain water getting inside engine. Rust has ruined Carby and Linkages. Condition of engine unknown. No sign of external damage like rod thru block!
Still has its FW and Clutch, Carby, Manifold, W/pump, Rocker cover and Sump secured.
Question is; are these engines worth saving or selling or straight to simsmetal ?
Cheers
Bernie

Haha, reminds me of a 1100 I tried to sell way back in the late 80s which was complete and running sweet. Nobody even back then was interested...I spent more on ads in the trading post than what I wanted for the engine ! So I ended up digging a deep hole in the backyard and while my dad wasn't looking, I chucked the motor in the hole and filled it in complete with a patch of lawn to fully disguise what is there.. a few years later my dad decided to buy a fruit tree and just my luck, his shovel clanged the block , I had some fast explaining that day . We agreed the tree could be put in another spot and leave the engine be...

I recently sold a dizzy for $50, it was a package deal with the 1300 ..
Save the dizzy and sump if any good and bury the rest. !!

    Thanks Marty
What would separate it from 1100/1300 if it was a 1600 Kent ?  Was the Kent exclusively XFlow ? The intake Manifold has a large device attached underneath that may be EGR or PCV related if thats any help ? (Its OHV rocker cover looks like a 1100/1300 )

If it still has the clutch attached it should be 7.5in dia from memory, also at the rear of the block from the two top belhousing bolts to the deck height it should be 1.1in for 1600, just under 1in for 1500 and level with the belhousing sandwich plate for 1100/1300 . Err the block of EGR/ emissions attached to the intake say that it could be most likely be a 1600 from 1977 when emissions got tougher. Earlier 1600 and 1300 didn't have that block of EGR stuff, some 1600 Escort mk2 came out with double barrel carb (gt1600 Capri type)
The engine number is on the exh side front top and should start with CK---- if I am correct ...I haven't mucked about with Kent motors for ages for obvious reasons
Edit... Kent motors started back in 1959 for the Anglia 105e and were pre x/f until the UK escort came on the scene 1967/8 (1969 for Aust) . Sorry the huge info hit lol.

Great info Marty ! never apologize !
.....no such thing as too much info, in my books !
If Rocker Cover on 1600 can look same as 1300, I'll go back and check if you reckon
a 1600 is worth saving for use or good money ?
Had a small S/Brl Autolite Carby with linkage support bolted to I/Manfld

If you can upload a pic at the rear it'll determine if it's 1600 or not. Price is what someone is willing to pay depending condition etc, but these days modern engines including install kits can cost equivalent to rebuilding the old motors , not saying it's bad or good as there's plenty of restorers wanting original equipment.
The old Kent will fit in any of the classic Fords , and some forklifts and dingos lol , I know a guy that made a compressor pump from one !!
