Gearbox linkage and shifter questions

Hey all,

I have a couple of questions...
Im having trouble removing the pin from the shifter to its connecting shaft. it's of course a 4 speed with the external linkage.
The manual says just to knock it out...
Is there a trick to this?

My shifter snapped back in the 90s. Would anyone have a whole shifter available to buy? Or even a whole shifter assembly to
sell?
Cheers

yes you just support the housing best you can and use a punch to push it out.  I have a few very good complete used ones-but all awaiting freight restrictions to be lifted to get them over

Thanks mate, exactly what I thought. It just wont budge, so I think someone used a different technique/pin to attach when the shifter was repaired back in the 90s. Bloody annoying.

I will be interested in a used system, please let me know when they finally arrive. I'm still waiting for Motomobil to ship my small order.

Exactly what shifter parts are you after?
I have a old unit that was removed when I fitted a 5 speed.
    PM me.

I also have a complete Type F shifter. No cracks.
Removed when I changed to Type 5 box.
PM me if still in need.
