Another information sheet I found years ago which outlines other plate codes.
 

 
Copy of the parts manual which decodes the front and rear axle ( ft. ax. & rr. ax.) section of the compliance plate.

    Close examination of the various front and rear springs part numbers above, indicates that ALL 1969 Capri's have the 'C' setting for the front and rear springs, yet, no 1969 models have either an 'S' or a 'C' stamped on them, that I have seen?
    Note also that the first column is missing on the 5310 - Spring - Front Suspension table above. It should say, to the left of the All, All, All, GT, GT (Body Type) column, in a column named Model, 69, 70/, 70/, 70/, 70/
