I'm guessing he is saying the flow rates are similar? Can't say I've ever tuned a DCOE or DHLA but in my experience with running the R1 carbs, very easy to set up, staying in tune well, decent on fuel consumption and throttle response is good.
I have a twin set of dellorto DHLA 40's here, pulled them apart to clean up and they seem pretty complex in operation compared to the Mikuni CV carb on the R1...
I have heard that with twin webbers, or dellortos you have to manage the throttle when revving the vehicle up, whereas the bike carbs you are able to just flat stick it and they manage themselves...
