Still Duratec, only Ecoboost or hybrid(Mazda) when turbo(s) attached.
I have a Duratec 2.5 from 2012 and is the same externally as a 2005 2.0 .

I'm up for the challenge Deano 👍 , HNZs will be up against my ute I hope when I get to it...

HNZ, did you buy a complete wreck, in order to get sensors/loom etc, or just engine and box?
The mark 1 looks like a solid base.

A mate of mine did, I have pretty much everything I need and will code out the PAS system in the ME17.2.1 Bosch ECU. We are pretty good at reverse engineering ECUs so it shouldnt be too much of challenge electronics wise.

The car was a good honest 1.3 mk1 thats been through a few hands, but it was blasted and is in a nice new shed for the build. I have to replace the floor and a few of the inner wings and some exterior panel work. Normal stuff, but the rails are in great order as is the pilars etc.

At the moment im collecting parts still and planning out the front end. Will have a full coil over conversion and 4 link setup. Im a bit anal in the suspension department.

The car will be a restomod so im not aiming for a perfect numbers matching classic or anything but will have classic lines. Will be doing it right and it will look the part.
