Been a busy little chipmonk lately and heres the proof. Fitted the window glass, made a floor pan shield out of stainless a bit heavier than alloy but its a bit more rigid and only.6mm. Wanted a good pedal so i scored a bit of sticky sandpaper of ebay and stuck it onto the pedals. On the weekend i jacked up the engine and checked the clearance from the throttle bodies to the bonnet and kept jacking it up untill it was about 8-10 mm from hitting it. So the big problem is still the clearance between the crossmember and the sump thers nothing there, its either going to have to be dry sumped or spacer the crossmember up a bit. I fitted the front strut to see what it was going to look like with the wheels on andi think its lookin goood Everthing seams to take hours to fit even the rear shockies took 1 hour each to fit. O the weekend i made up some bushes out of nylon for the anti- dive they took all day to make and fit as the block of nylon was 60mm round and you gotta be careful otherwise it spits it back out at ya, not good. Ok heres the flicks

Thanks for the encouragement fella's im going to do Sprints, Hillclimbs, private practice ,ect untill the engine is allowed to be used in improved production racing. The rule makers will not let me use a ford v6 cyclone in a capri until its available in a ford in Australia. As to what class in the hillclimb series im not sure, maybe tarmac rally as i dont want to be in with the sports sedan guys.

I finally got around to doing some work and have decided to use the original fuel tank and just weld a sump onto it as i didnt like the ones you can get off the shelf. It goes thru a filter then a carter comp pump shoots it continually thru the swirl pot then back into the top of the fuel tank. At the bottom of the pot it has a o44 bosch that shoots it up to the fuel rails then back to the pot, hopefully it will work Ive had the extractors done by scotts rods at ipswich and they have done a great job for the money, you wouldnt believe how much other guys wanted. The throttle bodies are all bolted down , throttle cable fitted, clutch cable all fitted and working and im surprised how soft it is being a nascar triple plate. The boys at driveline servises cut down the original alloy tailshaft and fitted a new uni joint its now fitted and looks great. The radiator is off eby its to suit a cortina v8 but i move the pick up fitting up the tank to suit the alloy pipe for the water IN side. All the brake lines are on except the rear, thats next. If you look closely ive made a new steering rack intermediate using 2 old rack universals welded together as it was too close to the starter motor. Its going to be burning e 85 the guys said it should get at least another 10 to 15% power ,so it could make 330 or 340 hp.

Well its getting closer to to being finished, the oil system is finished now and its been a real hassel to find the right gear to use and then modify it and weld on fittings . The engine bay is starting to fill up with all pretty bolt on stuff Im going to use bosche 660lb injectors and see how it dynos up, the seat and harness are fitted and i put the dashboard in too as well as running the fuel lines inside the cabin. It needs a wilwood propotioning valve fitted then i can start to bleed the brakes, i want them working before it go's off to the dyno guys.

.jpg) Finally off the jack stands and on the ground, the rear wheels are a bit close to the guards so ill have to skim a bit off the spacers to give it a bit more clearance. Brakes are all bled and its got a very solid pedal. Next is oil and water and get the guy into wire in the computer. Cant wait to hear it running.

chris from 12 volt wired up the wolf 550 ,we had a small problem with the ignite and long story short it needs to go down to sean at efi performance to get sorted and dynoed.
