Well this week i painted the brake backing plate i made up from the old booster bracket and made a alloy bracket to hold the brake fluid reservoirs.I also dummy fitted the r/h suspension to see if the simmons cleared the guard it did so i only have to roll the lip. While i had the brake set up on i made the brake lines,im sort of happy with them oh well we will see how it looks when the engine gets dropped in.

It's going to end up being too nice to race.

I had a few drama's with the l/h strut it looks like it may have had a hit with the gutter and when i put it under compression it was rubbing on the guard.  I had to cut the gusset and press it a bit to get it under the guard its all good now.   But have a look theres not much distance between the tyre and the leg.
At least it the same as the other side now.

Ok did a little bit more on the old girl, cut off the bottom of the drivers side guard to get to some rust that was lurking under there.
The sill also needed replacing as it had some rust up near the front so i just cut it all off and had one folded up then fully welded it on.
The r/h rear lower 1/4 panel had some rust also  so i plated that and now its all done on the drivers side
When i put the bonnet on, the front nose of both guards had so rust cut out so i had to fill them using the bonnets profile.
Hey what do you guys think of a yellow capri i have 4 litres of chrome yellow so now is the time to speak up.
My missus hates orange and so does my neighbour colin so im tossing up between the two.

See that photo above of the inside of the guard all the tar in there, thats what some goose has sprayed all over this car and it been a nightmare to remove.

Hi, well all the body work is done now and its having a roll cage fitted so its getting closer and i can hardly wait.
I have had a drama with the adaptor plate thats being made up for the engine/gearbox combo.
They recon the starter wont fit on the left hand side so the engine will come back home here for another dummy fit and see if i can squeeze a small starter into the r/h side where the steering shaft comes out of the firewall joining the rack. Im off to japan for a few weeks and im going to visit KAAZ corp where they make lsd and other things so i might come home with a diff
OK heres some photos of the cage
