Nice project.  If you want original just double check the paint code on the compliance plate.  The front of the bonnet black looks too rounded so its probably been resprayed (correct shape on green one above), and if that is the case it may have had a colour change at some point.  Best of luck with the build.

Thanks it has been resparyed bit of a home job by the look. The paint code is J which I believe is Hot Orange. For same reason he changed the colour. It currently is more red than the original colour.

Yep J is hot orange.  The manual has L1106  EH on the description line, maybe it will help with getting the correct mix made up.

Personally I'd rather drive a crisp white car than a "pink" car that's my personal opinion.. As long as they get restored and are original colour its personal preference.. Blaze blue ,wild violet, then white.

It would be a boring world if we all preferred one colour..........hang on!    ...Was it not Henry baby who said on colour choice        "You can have black,....... black or....... black!"
Well back then he could get away with it, with so few cars and such little competition !
I venture to say that white and off-white vehicles must be flavour of the decade as I think they make up over 50% of all Cars and Trucks. I'd love to know the actual Census on Vehicle Colours if anyone knows ?

 
I owned this 1970 model from 1975 to 1985. Vermillion fire, with the bonnet pins and bonnet blackout. Not sure of the history after the next owner.
