Hi all, I have a standard 72 V6 capri thats about to be put back on the road after many years off. What fuel are you guys running. E10,straight with additive,without, premium, standard, get heads converted first then run unleaded?  Thanks for all info, much appreciated.. PSR

Depends on your setup. 95 octane at a minimum but 98 is better both with a valve saver.

I prefer 98. Adjust static timing by accelerating hard at slow speed in third gear. If its not pinging advance timing till it does then back it off a tad.
I dont have hardened exhaust valve seats, i also dont use valvesaver and have had no trouble with valve recession. With the lower ks that a classic covers it seems not to be an issue.

I'd be using 98 and a dose of the additive 'octane supreme' to put some TEL back into the petrol to help prevent VSR, especially if you don't have hardened valve seats.
