Hi Guys,

Can anyone on here redrill a set of laser rotors to match my Capri hubs?

If not, where can I go to get it done?

I am in the Eastern Suburbs (Doncaster) but happy to travel wherever and can pay in beer if required!

Cheers,

Pretty sure they bolt straight on, but you need to fit a sleeve to locate the rotor on the hub

Hi Woz,

I think you are right.  According to here (http://www.classic-ford.org/cfp/tm.aspx?m=2118) they need opening up 1mm.

Is the sleeve to ensure they are centered correctly?

Matt

I used a  drill bit to open the holes up and simply mounted them on with teh correct bolts.. I centered mine by spinning the disk with caliper attached and dial indicator until i had a true spin on the disk.. locked it up and re-used the half moon lock tabs to make sure they dont come loose.. had no dramas at the rally.

Hey Matty,

That's what I was thinking was involved.  I probably should take it to an engineering joint just to be safe.

I've never had to redrill the holes, and they MUST have a sleeve to locate centrally.  I wouldn't fit them without the locating sleeve regardless of how good you line them up with a dial gauge.  It saves any headaches further down the track if they happen to move, and with nothing to locate it it increases the risk of that.  I have pre-made sleeves if you require them.

Thanks to Woz and his sleeves the rotors bolted straight on with no drilling required.
