Hey guys my name is Jason. I was a member of the SFCC back in the 90's. Currently I am car less but would love another RS (Would be number 12 i think)I have owned various small fords including 10 aussie RS2000's one German RS 2000 (Ex Group C john English car)which was Michael Hemmerlings old car, a sapphire Cosworth 4x4 (Which went to Michael), a red MK1 2lt (AAV33J) and a few others icluding panel vans etc.

I have posted a few photos of the past cars for your info. (The Cossie belonged to Michael Hemmerling when this photo was taken)

Does any one know what happened to the red one? (Scrap, in a paddock, crashed etc) I regret selling it.

Look forward to talking with you.

Regards

Hi Jason,
Welcome (Back) to SFCC. I love the red Mk1! That was a sharp ride. Hope you find another one just like her.

Thanks fellas

I found a couple of photos of the car that started my obsession with RS Escorts. That me with the girls (Two i might add) leaning on the bonnet of the old mans RS2000 4 door he bought it brand new in 1979.

It ended badly for that car it was stolen and all the stollen parts ended up on yellow RS replica with a V8 in it. Belonged to a low life with a green supercharged V8 RS heap of rubbish. We got all the parts back at court though.

It became my first RS project, replaced the turret, doors, guards, and got it going. I sold it on to pay for the MK1.

The other car was the old mans MK1 1300 super, this was brand new also.

I really like the look of this car, did you build it? The front guards look like twin cams but how were the rear flares and skirts done?

Very nice.

Thanks Sean

Bacca, I bought the car with the body work done. It was done by a company called Freedom styling in western Sydney. The flares were all fibre glass including the front guards. They did an amaizing job as it was all integrated with the front spoiler and skirts etc. It was a one off that they did and who ever they did it for sold the car more or less straight after it was done.

I totaly rebuilt the car from one end to the other mechanically and the interior, but never touched the body apart from respraying the engine bay. I would mortgage the house to get it back.

Regards

Jason

Was AAV-33J ever featured in any magazines?

Yeah it was in Hot 4's I think? I would have copy somewhere I will see if I can find the year and mag. It was a dodgy story with the feature, I filled in a rough spec sheet and they used poetic license and made up the rest.

I thought it may have been. I most likely have the magazine here somewhere too.
