I am the Secretary of the Cortina-Capri Car Club of S.A and am very much a fan of British Fords! My current project car is a 1973 XLE Cortina which I am working on restoring back to Showroom Condition. My hope is to have it ready for Feb next year so that I can enter her in the All British Day, I have some rust work to get stuck into as well as a complete re-spray, yet its all fun anyway!
Hopefully when I am in Sydney later on this year I will have the opportunity to call in at your meeting and catch up with everyone!
Not sure about the SA event but the All British Day in NSW is on the same day as All Ford Day. I know some clubs are in a tizzy about which event to go to. I can't see a problem our cars are Fords, built in the plants at Homebush and Campbellfield (well most of them). Small Fords like ours were in South Africa, Germany, New Zealand, USA and Canada just to name a few. That must mean we can start puting All American Day on our events list.
