When you have finished your leisure morning (latte to go sir, and do you require fries with that?) <img src="https://www.classic-ford.org/mr2/mr2play/upfiles/smiley/icon_smile_wink.gif" alt="" data-smiley="" /><img src="https://www.classic-ford.org/mr2/mr2play/upfiles/smiley/icon_smile_wink.gif" alt="" data-smiley="" /> you could join us for some real twisties up around Montville, plus the added bonus of the co-driver having time to do SHOP STOP! We haven't seen the Mean Green Machine for a while so let's go!
Regards,
Walter
Re: Downshift Aus Coffee and Circuit day Queensland Raceway 21st July (Spyder)

Pity that, tried to warn you early, they get busy I think because the format is very easy and casual, but relies on the drivers not being idiots otherwise they shut the whole thing down straight away. Hopefully next time we can get a few more club members along.
Re: Downshift Aus Coffee and Circuit day Queensland Raceway 21st July (fredhoon)

Sold Out (accorinding to the bigcartel online shop)

I should have booked this last week instead of dragging my feet.
Re: Downshift Aus Coffee and Circuit day Queensland Raceway 21st July (fredhoon)

Sounds like a good day - Downshift at the break of dawn and North by Northwest during the day.

Usual meetup time for a run is around 9am if I'm not mistaken, attending both should be achievable!
Re: Downshift Aus Coffee and Circuit day Queensland Raceway 21st July (Spyder)

Oh well Walter, pity, but it is all over by 8am normally, depending on which way you are going I might catch up with you guys, especially if I tell my good lady that the partners are to be catered for in terms of some retail therapy....lol
Cheers
Dave
Re: Downshift Aus Coffee and Circuit day Queensland Raceway 21st July (tralfaz)

Dave,
would like to have a go at one of these so keep posting the details.

Unfortunately the 21st of July is on our Run Calendar as a run day. Because of requests coming in we are going to focus on the co-drivers with the destination (read shops, cafes, etc. here <img src="https://www.classic-ford.org/mr2/mr2play/upfiles/smiley/s2.gif" alt="" data-smiley="" />) so for me it will have to wait. So much choice, so little time.<img src="https://www.classic-ford.org/mr2/mr2play/upfiles/smiley/icon_smile_wink.gif" alt="" data-smiley="" />

Walter
Re: Downshift Aus Coffee and Circuit day Queensland Raceway 21st July (DVS_MR2)

ill be keen might have to get a clutch sorted b4 then as dont think it will hold up to track punishment thats unless i baby it around the track <img src="https://www.classic-ford.org/mr2/mr2play/upfiles/smiley/icon_smile_spin.gif" alt="" data-smiley="" />
Re: Downshift Aus Coffee and Circuit day Queensland Raceway 21st July (Eric)

Might see if i can do this one if i get my brakes done in time.

Keen to see how she goes on the track!

Downshift Aus Coffee and Circuit day Queensland Raceway 21st July (Spyder)

Just wanted to let everyone know that there is another of these days on the 21st July again. Enjoyed the last one - see previous post, and for $ 60 you can't get more fun and being able to bomb around the track at your own speed, no helmet, but in a civilised way mind you!..... Last time was enjoyable, they had two rules, no overtaking on corners and have fun within your capabilities. I found there were quite a few cars on the track, but the session went on for an hour and a half and a lot of cars pulled into the pits and then you have a much more enjoyable time with fewer cars to contend with. It was a bit of a concertina effect at the corners for the first few laps.

But hey, if you want to pay a kings ransom, get in a V8 and have a grumpy git telling you what to do, go for it. I prefered to drive my own car and have some fun.

See you there, look out for the Green Spyder and come say Hi. Last time there was a Red SW20 and Myself representing the MR2 boys.

Dave
