He is down near the Airport I think. But I was told that you do not want to seperate any of the hydraulic parts either as even the toyota people cannot refill the fluid properly so the problem is not fixed. I have a complete unit that came out of my car that is sitting on the garage floor at the moment. I would have to think on price but let me know if you want it? I removed mine as I am doing the 2ZZ manual swap.

Re: Manual for sequential manual transmission (GTIRHil)

Hi - Thanks for the advice - I've ordered a BGB from the U.S.A.. I think the problem is the HPU - the Techstream output shows no shifter or accumulator pressure. There are two heavier wires that go to the HPU - one is white and the other is Black/White. The white one goes to 12 V when I open the driver door, but the hPU doesn't run. So I think that I need an HPU. Does anybody have a good one for sale?

Re: Manual for sequential manual transmission (sweeetpete)

Its a minefield trying to sort out the SMT. I have the BGBs (Big Green Books ) but unsure on how much info there is on the SMTs in there. I can check and let you know or go on Spyderchat and do some research there. Cap Weir is the resident expert on faults and fixing them.

Manual for sequential manual transmission (GTIRHil)

I have a 2000 Spyder with a faulty SMT. I've had no luck finding a manual that includes info for that gearbox. Some kindly person sold me a manual that said it had a section on the auto trans (which might have been the SMT) but turned out not to have an auto section anyway! Can anybody point me at some info? Thanks , Hil
