try the continental contimaxx, its a new line they released its a very comfortable/quiet tyre that can hold its own. i picked up 2 x 235 45 17 for $300(mr2 back tyres) at bridgestone fitted and balanced. i was after federal 595 but they havent got them in stock so i picked the continentals outta the lot that they have on the shelves. on paper they have the same temp/ traction rate, continental has a much better threadwear and comfort rate tho the federal still has stiffer sidewall. its a preety good tyre for its price i must say.

I need to get some new tyres for my Stagea 245/40/18.
I dont need it to be a performance tyre, just something with low road noise and half decent wear rate
Any ideas on what to look at?
