- still after a standard pressure & clutch plate to suit turbo gearbox (E153).

Just had my existing E code gearbox stripped down & found out 3rd gear has been welded to the input shaft (due to lube pipe bent) which starved the gears hence causing the damage. Anyone have any internal gearbox components or a gearbox for sale?? Im also after a standard pressure & clutch plate. Installed a brand new heavy duty stage 2, Too heavy for my liking, I did approx 40kilometers on it before the box packed in, if anyone interested let me know.

If the box you have was original mechanical speedo I'd say its more likely then not that its non-lsd. LSD axles seem to fit in open box, but not the opposite way around.

Question: are there differences between LSD e153 shafts to Non turbo LSD shafts? I think I currently have LSD without ABS. Want confirmation before I purchase another replacement turbo Gearbox.

The sender is swapable between gearboxes.

Hi Terry, I need a box with a cable driven speedo. I dont think this would be suitable for a Gen 2 engine - would it fit ok? I am also interested in the pressure plate you have.

I've got an almsot new pressure plate you can have for $30+ post. still has the original machinig marks on it.

I've got a box i took out of a 96 wreck recently. The owner told me it was perfectly OK with supposedly very low KM's on it, but as the car was damaged, i could not test drive it. I fitted the engine to another car, and it was sweet. I have drained the oil and it came out perfectly clean. would sell this for $750 exchange (I want you old box for parts)
If you buy the box, clutch comes for free
expect freight to be about $100 each way with E-go. You might find a cheaper deal

dwyer125 - sounds good, im definately interested. What sort of $$ would you be asking for it. My box has currently stuck itself in 3rd gear..

Yes its the one I brought recently. Just finished putting in the new clutch kit, slave cylinder etc, started it the first time and noticed a bearing sound. Thinking it was a faulty noisy thrust / throw bearing, I drove it for about 100kms then shifter was getting hard to put into gears especially 1st, then going thru the gears got into 3rd and couldnt get it out. Tow home : - ( now stuck in my garage waiting its fate.

I have a spare box, non-lsd, but second gear shifting was getting bad. I have a full set of syncros and seal kit for it but haven't got around to installing it.
If you're interested I could get started on it, but it'd probably be a couple of weeks to get it finished.

Hi all, in bad need of a gearbox, please let me know if anyone has a good condition one for sale.
Also a standard pressure plate needed. Have a brand new heavy duty stage 2 one if anyone interested.
