(feral4mr2)

hiya there. had a quick looksee through the thread and i havn't done this yet! haha

Names Johnny, most of you know me. Many know me via many others forums with my username.

Lived in Qld back in 1998 - 2005.
2002? (could have been 2003) - 2005 there was no Mr2 club as such running in Qld so via a e-mail mailing list that was running back then I organised with a handful of aw11 and sw20 owners who were keen do to a display at the Jamboree at QR. We all had a good times for those few years doing our displays. Steve (groper), Adam Parker and a few others I don't remember names sorry where with me at the displays.
I left Qld at the end of 2005 to go back to WA. Steve and the other guy's vowed to continue the fun.

Came over for the Mr2 Nationals in 2015, had a grouse time and met a lot of great people that really pulled at my heart strings with the 'family' style friendship i witnessed. Upon my return to WA after the nationals I was determined to come back and be part of it as it is something i have had lacking in my life for some time.

Anyways, i'm back living in Qld again as many of you know. Glad the club is running full swing and has a lot of great people in it. And super happy to be part of it and the family.

Still got 2 aw11's, the feral that i had with me last time in lived in Qld and the lil feral that i bought in 2006.

Owned aw11's now since 1995 and had 5 3/4's of them at one stage. Love the cars and the awesome little 4ag powerplant.

i'll have to remember how to put pictures on here.
Re:New Queensland Club Members - Introduce Yourselves! (mista3)

Hey all,

Reincarnating a very old profile here (last used some 10 years ago).

Formerly from Hobart, now in Brisbane, I've had a couple of MR2s (AW11 ADM NA and SW20 GT Import "MISTA2"), and then I moved on to owning a TT Soarer, MX5 NA, 2012 Toyota 86 GTS, currently driving a 2007 Accord Euro lux as a daily, and I'm about to pick up a red GT turbo targa tomorrow, which is in need of some TLC, but some very nice mods and a very good base for some serious power (member manlol - current for sale thread).

Keen to get back into an MR2, and when I finally get around to bringing the SW20 up to roadworthy condition, also very keen to get involved in the QLD branch of the club.

Also, any idea why I can't change my signature? Haha

Cheers
Michael
Re:New Queensland Club Members - Introduce Yourselves! (jdsteel)

Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I just picked up my MR2 spyder a few months ago and have been enjoying cruising along here in Sunshine Coast. So far only thing I've changed is the exhaust header and the radio. Took care of that pesky pre-cat issue before it started. Ended up with a forest green MR2 spyder, so you may see me driving around Brisbane on occasions or up in the mountains near Glass House and north. I plan on doing a little bit more over time with improving the suspension and handling. If my wife let's me keep it later on, I may even find a spare 1ZZ engine and start doing a race block build out as well. I've been eyeing Monkey Wrench racing site a little too much lately. Planning on keeping it as a SMT 5 speed however and may look to see options of clutch upgrades and adding a LSD to it as well. If anyone knows where I can find a used set of coilovers cheap, just let me know.

Looking forward to getting more involved and doing some runs with the group. I'd appreciate if anyone has info on when the next run is and for club membership, what is involved. Hope to catch up with the group soon.

-John
Re: New Queensland Club Members - Introduce Yourselves! (MR2GT)

Hi everyone,
Am an old member but haven't been around for several years. My name is Barry and own a 1990 SW20 GT.
Some of you may remember me from working at Fulcrum Suspensions (16yrs) but other may recognize the car..it is black and covered in TEIN stickers with green blotches all over it. I ended up taking it off the road when I blew a turbo seal and unfortunately also my license. That was 5 years ago. Since then have been getting around in my Hilux. Whilst the Hilux is still a black Toyota it aint got nothing on the SW20. Have pulled the car cover off it and got the new turbo fitted finally. Got a minor issue with the Autronic ECU to sort but after that and (if the car god is willing) I will be out on the next run.
Am looking forward to seeing you all then. :)
Re:New Queensland Club Members - Introduce Yourselves!
