(darius)

Look at MR2QIK's signature, he has a nice Padded MOMO steering wheel.

Also note, size of the steering wheel is also important. Dudeman can you clarify? I think anything under 300 or 350mm would not be legal as well?
Re:Mr2 steering wheels! (RdS)

never seen a non-padded SW20 wheel. Even the Momo wheel used on random special editions.
Sounds like you've got nothing.
Pay the fine, clear the defect, and swap it back. Its worth the risk.

interestingly, I have a mate (in VIC) who had been defected TWICE for the stock wheel in his 87 TX5. Eventually gave up and got a naff aftermarket one with a padded center.

Re:Mr2 steering wheels! (Millsy101)

Hey guys,

Recently, on the weekend the police and traffic police teamed up at the Queensland downshift meet. (All jdm meet, you can imagine the defects that were handed out)

One of the these defects which I was unaware of was the steering wheel has to be padded if the factory one was. Now i'm curious was there a slightly unpadded one which could of been a factory option because if so I can challenge the fine. But if not I will have to find a new wheel and pay a stupid fine.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Regards Fraser
