Cool, then Danny’s would be a bloody perfect example for you of a great sdub.

I would say now man your next step should be to just come out and see us and have a drive. You will have plenty to still research after you make a decision which you like.

Might be a bit harder to find an adub in mint condition quickly, but they are out there. They grey one of mine you saw on the cruise I paid $9000 for. It’s motor was totally rebuilt and had 30k on the clock when I got it, pretty much everything in the car had been rebuilt or replaced and was a great deal I think. I have spent a bit of money on it since I got it, not because it *needed* it but because I can’t bloody help myself. :P

Prob will be easier to find sdubs in good nic out there as they are more popular and lots of people that took really good care of them.

Yep dannys was the red one with the snorkel. From the experience of buying a supra I really wished I had test driven more, however it is a great car and the engine is in awesome condition just needed some tlc. This is part of the reason I am on this forum and came to the cruise to get an idea of what the car is like. Do as much research as I can so I make a good choice.

Also don't get me wrong I love the supra! Just the idea of a "compact" performance car seems to make sense in my head.

Yeah driving them both is the best idea, i was looking at heaps of other cars before i bought these two aw11's, sw20, wrx, gto, 350z and it wasnt until i drove them did it seal the aw11 was for me once again.

Thanks heaps for all the offers! I just need to find a weekend I'm free. Danny also gave me his number so ill have to have a closer look at his too. Will definitely give both a test drive before making a decision.

Hey Joel,

Best bit of advice i can give you is make sure u drive both the aw11 and sw20. I was originally looking at sw20's before i bought both my aw11's, i felt the sw20 wasnt go kart enough for my taste and went with aw11's again.

While the sw20's do look hot which u will prefer more is a very personal thing and u really need to drive em both.

If u ever want to pop over to my place and drive my aw11 sc around the block just shoot me a pm. Also i should have my aw11 turbo back in a couple of weeks as well.

Cruise sounds good will chase it up. The supra clubs doing happy laps in the morning on the 24th so a big day of car fun sounds like a good plan.

There's a Qld club run on the 24th of this month which would be ideal for you to tag along to. I'd offer up the passengers seat of my MR2, however the poorly kept Adub may not be to your liking with its lack of turbo and power in general, nothing wrong with the way it handles though.

Hello Mr2 owners!

I'm looking for someone with a tubro mr2 preferably a SW20 in QLD/Brisbane area who would be willing to take me for a short drive around the block and let me have a quick look at their car. I'm interested in buying one once off my P's currently got a supra and a member of the QLD supra forums under the same name. Run the major cruises for them at the moment.

Spent a far bit of money just on the upkeep of the supra and plan to do the same if i buy a MR2 possibly mod it along the way but will see about that.

Going to be off my P's in about 4 months have already been looking around and seen some good examples up for sale. But not really in the market for one just yet as I cant drive it legally but i want to get an idea as to how they drive, general layout of engine, interior ect. You can only see so much from reading through peoples threads. Want to see one up close and personal. The condition or mods don't bother me just want to get a general idea of one because I haven't been in one before.

Willing to compensate person with liquor up to $40 or you can just take the $40. Drive me to the closest liquor store get your liquor then drive me back the let me poke around in your car.
