ET should've been better, woeful 60' of 2.5. Slowest 13.7 @ 111mph so the power is there. MPH is very promising, and that was only low boost, and tyre spin at the top of 1st. Def has a 12 in it.
2nd fastest pass of the night http://youtu.be/MHzvv4ZRXxY
2JZ no ****?

Re:So I'm Now A Supra Owner (Knightrous)

bustin
Well. Got some good news today. The Supra isn't as bad as 1st thought. Turns out a cam jumped a tooth. Thankfully didnt wreck anything. Reset it and all good. Such a relief. Esp for my bank balance.

Usually a worn tensioner or belt is the main cause for a jumped tooth, so it might be worth checking them out :)
Re:So I'm Now A Supra Owner (bustin)

Well. Decided to get it looked at coz it wasnt running right and needed a tune, so I thought.
Turns out cyl % has 0 psi compression. I could cry. Oh well nothing a few 1000 $$$ won't fix.
This will keep me working.<img src="https://www.classic-ford.org/mr2/mr2play/upfiles/smiley/s6.gif" alt="" data-smiley="" />
Re:So I'm Now A Supra Owner (tralfaz)

Sad day, and we never want to see you or talk to you again. <img src="https://www.classic-ford.org/mr2/mr2play/upfiles/smiley/s2.gif" alt="" data-smiley="" /> <img src="https://www.classic-ford.org/mr2/mr2play/upfiles/smiley/s2.gif" alt="" data-smiley="" />
We have a Run next Sunday so check it out and see if you can make it. We did the recce yesterday and found some great twisty roads, although the HMAS Supra might find it a bit hard to keep up. <img src="https://www.classic-ford.org/mr2/mr2play/upfiles/smiley/s4.gif" alt="" data-smiley="" /> Check out the thread and I will send you a Run Sheet.
I hope you did the right thing and pointed Chris in the direction of the Forum?? if not, then why not??<img src="https://www.classic-ford.org/mr2/mr2play/upfiles/smiley/s2.gif" alt="" data-smiley="" />
I am sure you will be back with MR2 ownership, once they get in your blood its almost impossible to remove them.
Hope to catch up soon,
Walter

bustin

Well it's all official.
The MR2 has gone to it's new owner, can't say i'm not a little bit sad. At least I can visit.
New owners name is Chris, I'm sure you'll make him welcome.

Re:So I'm Now A Supra Owner (bustin)

Well it's all official.
The MR2 has gone to it's new owner, can't say i'm not a little bit sad. I use a bicycle as daily.
I'm looking at entering some drags, which will be dial your own racing, which rewards consistency.
So to that end an auto makes a lot of sense. Only the 2nd auto I've owned, other was an XY Fairmont.
Plus I'm not exactly 19 anymore, so I'm getting lazy.<img src="https://www.classic-ford.org/mr2/mr2play/upfiles/smiley/icon_smile_cheeky.gif" alt="" data-smiley="" />
Re:So I'm Now A Supra Owner (MRTurbo)

Domma_aw11

Oh wow,

No offence intended by why?

i was gonna ask the same thing :)
Auto is cheaper though as in most 90-00s turbo toyotas
Re:So I'm Now A Supra Owner (SW20_3sgte)

Domma_aw11

Oh wow,

No offence intended by why?

I'd say its designed to be a cruiser/daily. Autos are great for that. Then again a Manual transmission behind all that torque would be unreal
Re:So I'm Now A Supra Owner (Domma_aw11)

Oh wow,

No offence intended by why?

Re:So I'm Now A Supra Owner (bustin)

Domma_aw11

How bout a manual conversion??

Nope, I actually chose to buy an auto.<img src="https://www.classic-ford.org/mr2/mr2play/upfiles/smiley/s1.gif" alt="" data-smiley="" />
Re:So I'm Now A Supra Owner (Domma_aw11)

How bout a manual conversion??

Re:So I'm Now A Supra Owner (bustin)

No big plans, just a few cosmetic fixups, and a proper tune. Then some test and tunes. The only real step up from what it is would be a big single turbo, but that would be some time away. Can be a pricey upgrade. But the rewards are there<img src="https://www.classic-ford.org/mr2/mr2play/upfiles/smiley/s4.gif" alt="" data-smiley="" />
Re:So I'm Now A Supra Owner (SW20_3sgte)

Wow that thing looks awesome. The colour of the car suits it well.

I'd ask if you have big plans for it, but considering the power its making it may not be necessary haha
