ooo sounds wicked as, would love to come. ill be down in melbourne on sat for a climbing competition as well so fingers crossed i can swing to this to.

Would be good to catch up with the vic guys again.

Hi guys,
Since we were not able to display our great cars at the F1 this year, we will instead have a meet and greet at Garage Cafe on the Saturday of the GP weekend. The forum has indicated there are some interstate MR2 club members coming to watch the race, so this is a great chance to see them and show them what the VIC branch is all about. This will be the clubs official March run so everyone is welcome to attend!

Qualifying officially starts at 5pm and finishes at 6pm, it takes sometime for the people to get from the track to Garage Cafe.

Therefore the meet will be at 7pm onwards. Garage Cafe's address is 221 Berkeley Street, Melbourne .

I am trying to organise the possibility of being able to watch the qualifying on TV at the venue. If someone can come forward with a great indoor attenna it will be a great help.

We can have Garage Cafe's internal parking to ourselves if we are able to have the majority of guests arrive at 5pm. But obviously with the qualifying starting at 5pm I will do my best to try and have qualifying up and running on TV at the venue so that this can be worth doing.

I know it's all abit last minute but please bear with me as I will be doing the best I can.

Hey guys,
I've now got to make this the Plan B for the failed F1 display. I can easily have a chat to Robin to try and get Garage Cafe to close off their parking inside for MR2 member's only. beagle_senior & mr2pod would a meet after Saturday's qualifying be suitable for yourselves?

Any feedback would be great so I can potentially organise a welcome with Brendan, for guys like you and other MR2 owner's coming down from other states.

F1 AGP Garage Cafe Meet SAT 16th March 2013 (WIDEMR)

As requested, due to interstate visitors coming down for the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix, and also as a plan B for the MR2 club no longer displaying at the GP we will have a informal meet / catch up for tea and or drinks.
Hopefully we can get alot of MR2s to turn up and park inside, and no doubt out on the street also, so will be a bit of a informal car show.

Date: Saturday 16th March 2013
Location: Garage Cafe, 221 Berkeley Street, Melbourne
Time: 7:00 PM onwards as alot of people will be coming from the GP after qualifying, as discussed below by Bryan (VRTULX) possibly 5PM if you want to park your car inside on show and may have TV setup to watch qualifying.

Please refer to below posts for more info, and let me know if your thinking of coming down.
