GOR before or after Lorne?... te otways/lavers hill loop is a good drive but the first part is caravanville.

With so much happening with MR2 club events this year, I hope we can squeeze the GOR in.
But there will be plenty of other events for people who like twisty roads anyway.

good to see that this was a good good turnaround, i was only coming for a few quick photos and then go back as i had people staying at my place i had to attend to so coulodnt make it for the whole trip
looks like fun was had by everyone.
ill certainly try and make it for the GOR trip hopefully soon when we have nice weather and non slippery roads to deal with.

What a bugger man, was a nice cruise down to Sorrento. I ended up leaving early but hope the rest of you had a good day, I got pretty burnt with the targa's off. Think we need to organise a cruise down the great ocean road next time.

Glad you came along.
I don't know when it will be, but we are thinking about the GOR.

Here are some.
We had about 23 people and 14 cars turn up.
One AW11, two Spyders, eight SW20's, and two ring ins. (A Porsche and a Celica).

It was great to see some Forum people turn up to join us on the run to Sorrento.

At Maccas Frankston. MR2s were parked all over the car park.

On the new Peninsula Link freeway, the smoothest road in Australia.

What a great day, fantastic turnout, must have been 20 MR2s at Maccas ...... did anyone count them??

Everyone enjoyed the Cemetery Tour, and the back roads to Sorrento avoided the traffic snarles on the Nepean Highway. A slight change of plan meant parking was no problem either as we all enjoyed a picnic lunch in the cemetery. Sounds creepy but it worked out great!!!! Thanks everyone who came and made the day so successful!!!!

i got there at the set of lights in front of maccas @ 9.58 only to see what i believe was the last car ( a swilver sw20) leaving the set of lights, couldnt follow it down as i had a red light, went into the carpark and didnt see anyone so went back home
was hoping to follow you down on the freeway and get some rolling shots but ill have to try next time

bummed i cant make this event after it being in my backyard. due to family commitments
ill try and come down to the premeet at maccas.
the new peninsula link is great ive been on it roads are quite smooth. ill see if i can make an appearance for some pics.
if your going via nepean hwy to portsea then be prepared for some traffic congestions and parking availabilities.
