﻿<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><rss version="2.0"><channel><title>Gen 2 Turbo Clutch replacement</title><link>https://www.classic-ford.org/mr2/mr2play/tm.aspx?m=86326</link><description /><copyright>(c) MR2 AUSTRALIA</copyright><ttl>30</ttl><item><title>Re:Gen 2 Turbo Clutch replacement (Reddtarga)</title><description> Check out:&lt;br&gt; &lt;a href="http://www.mrtwo.net/mr2modproject/service/clutch/clutch.htm" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" title="http://www.mrtwo.net/mr2modproject/service/clutch/clutch.htm"&gt;http://www.mrtwo.net/mr2m...vice/clutch/clutch.htm&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description><link>https://www.classic-ford.org/mr2/mr2play/FindPost/86377</link><pubDate>Sun, 06 Jan 2013 17:58:32 GMT</pubDate></item><item><title>Re:Gen 2 Turbo Clutch replacement (3sgeTurbo)</title><description> If you want to try it yourself then here are the steps from when I replace&amp;nbsp;clutches, this is only a small guide and I can't take any&amp;nbsp;responsibility if you break anything of hurt your self.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;1. drain oil &amp;amp; disconnect battery &amp;amp; jack up the back of the car about 60cm&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;2. remove wheels, upper knuckle/ hub bolts and remove drive shafts&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;3. remove gearbox wiring, started motor, shifter cables and clutch slave&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;4. remove front&amp;amp; &amp;nbsp;rear engine mounts also the gearbox inspection plate&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;5. support the motor with a jack and block off wood&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;6. remove passenger side gearbox mount and lower the engine slowly until it wont go down anymore&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;7. get another jack and support gearbox and remove the bell housing bolts&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;8. slowly pry the box back away from the motor and lower it down&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;9. remove clutch, flywheel &amp;amp; throw out bearing&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;10. install machined flywheel &amp;amp; clutch with loctite and tighten to spec&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;Reverse these steps for installation.&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;First time it took me about 4 hours to remove the box but I now I can do it in about 2,&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;If you want to do it yourself remember&amp;nbsp;safety&amp;nbsp;precautions, I&amp;nbsp;have&amp;nbsp;had two friends die because the car came down on top of them from using **** stands and only a jack so I can't stress this enough.&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;</description><link>https://www.classic-ford.org/mr2/mr2play/FindPost/86359</link><pubDate>Sun, 06 Jan 2013 12:49:47 GMT</pubDate></item><item><title>Re:Gen 2 Turbo Clutch replacement (TIPSIDUECE)</title><description> /\ what he said + 1</description><link>https://www.classic-ford.org/mr2/mr2play/FindPost/86347</link><pubDate>Sun, 06 Jan 2013 12:14:21 GMT</pubDate></item><item><title>Re:Gen 2 Turbo Clutch replacement (beagle_senior)</title><description> nah mate dont need to drop the engine, just undo the front, rear and top gearbox mount and let it hang on the timing belt end mount, will save you a bit of work as coolant can be left in, etc...&lt;br&gt;</description><link>https://www.classic-ford.org/mr2/mr2play/FindPost/86329</link><pubDate>Sun, 06 Jan 2013 10:04:30 GMT</pubDate></item><item><title>Gen 2 Turbo Clutch replacement (Carmikey)</title><description> Just wondering - I am looking at replacing my clutch in my Gen 2 turbo this coming week.
