Great driving year for me: first trackday, bought the 2, and upgraded her with coilovers, air intake, exhaust, turbo, rims & rubber.

2012 has been an eventful year for me to say the least, kinda like getting stuff sorted out so this will be an entertaining one.

Happy NY everyone,
It was a tough year but finally have the car running and hope to run all year instead of building it all year.
The MR2 Trackday Challenge has been a great experience to get up and running. Big thanks to Mark for setting up the site.It would not have happened without you mate.
More numbers would be nice as its touch and go if its going to cost me $$ or not, but it will be a excellent start to the year with some of the best MR2 track cars from the East Coast together on the track, doing what these cars are best at.

Happy NY everyone! Was a big one indeed. Finished my 5SGTE & got the 2 underway again. Sold my trusted Honda & reverted back to my IS250. Finally got an RX7 FD with my bro & avoided taking the entire financial burden.

And not the least of which, knocked up the wife. Biggest upgrade for 2013 will be a baby seat....lol

Alot of SW20s seem to migrated over the WA, must be something in the water/petrol over there.

I blame the fact that at any given time there is no no more then 4-5 SW20s and all seem to be around the $10,000-$13,000 mark.

All in all has been a pretty good year for my little MR2'S
Manage to buy a hard top turbo which I always wanted.
Took my car to a first track day, and had absolutely blast but I fear I have got myself hooked
Managed to write off my Daily Sdub which was unfortunate as I spent countless weeks fixing, but received a decent payout which was convenient, (on that note, also had my first car accident and it was a great (although at times - a very difficult) learning experience)
Managed to buy back my written off sdub and and should hopefully be fixed and back on the road in the new year.
Got taken for a spin in one of the most powerful MR2s I think I will ever sit in, and like the Driver (Daz) I couldn't stop grinning.

Special thanks goes out to those members (and many more non-members) that have provided me with parts, advice and general know-how.

Hi All,

Just a recap on this years highlights in our community, and our beloved cars being another year older.

Highlights:
Cars getting older to the 25yr old mark can now apply for club registrations - Thanks REDMR2RED

Alot of SW20s seem to migrated over the WA, must be something in the water/petrol over there.
The NSW club has changed hands leaving JPAudio as President with a smaller but more streamline committee. We look forward to NSW club events for 2013.
The Queensland club now formally an official club, thanks to all the efforts that tralfaz has done with Queensland club and number of MR2s attending is a testament to the amout of work that he has put in.
Heck, even Firthy drove up to Sydney from melbourne for a visit in december.

Number of projects completed:
A few of us have made major improvements to project cars, JPAUDIO's SDU820, DAZ's 2000GT is sight to be scene just on bodywork alone not to mention to planned engine upgrades, ROBKs major improvements to his beast both visually and under the bonnet, hood, engine lid (you know what i mean). MR2QIK's constant reminder my project isn't complete as i seem have the wrong part on my car.

Events for 2013

As always, a huge thank you to all the members here club or just forum with the valuable contributions they have made to help out this little community ours. So for those to have left, we would as always love you to come back here and join in all the fun, tears and angry moments when are use/upgrade/modify or just even driving our cars.
I'm sure i've missed heaps of other highlights, projects and events that are also noteworthy to comment.
