I ripped out my AC straight away when i got the car to save in weight, since it wasnt working. Surprise!

It is a depressing thread but its true. My particular car is high maintanance, worse than a girl, a barbie girl, one of those fake one you see with bright blonde hair and fake tan, fake lashes, nails and so on...

Yeh if anyone bothers to read the manual you're meant to use it like once a week for 5 mins or once a month at the very least.
I would definitely find a reason to use it in winter - defog the bloody windows!

A tech told me that A/C's should be run at regular intervals, at least for a short time all thru the year, including winter.
Apparently something about lubing the seals.

How much was the the "full A/C" service? I have this supercharger whine that is coming from the A/C bearings and missing hoses I think (from the engine swap) as well as needing a re-gas obviously. I'm hoping the day will soon come when I first experience A/C in the deuce lol

^just had a full 'A/C service' and regas on mine yesterday and it's freezing cold now! :D
apparently it should be serviced every year...

I'm never ripping it out while its my only car.
I don't enjoy sitting in traffic when its 40+ deg sweating my arse off...

AC fault is a small part under the dash before the Evaporator. I had mine done, then on the pressure test it failed there. The guys I used had never worked on an SW20 before but were spot on and had it fixed, no further problems. It was a bit more to have it repaired but didn't charge for the second regas.

I had everything listed on the OP's list too :P Pretty standard stuff.
