If anyone is interested pm me as soon as possible and i will give you payment details.
Btw, the new kit will use coils with built in igniters. Not the supra igniter and motorcycle coils.
Easier install and less wire hassle this way.

Regards
Jimmy
Re:GI: Distributorless ignition/COP for Power FC/Gen3 ECU (2nd batch) (zvargulis)

Yeah I have seen them, I just don't feel like paying $118AUD + shipping for one when I am able to make my own.
Re:GI: Distributorless ignition/COP for Power FC/Gen3 ECU (2nd batch) (just_ace)

Just to let you know, save you time etc. You can already buy these.

http://racerxfabrication.com/mr2-celica/ignition

Re:GI: Distributorless ignition/COP for Power FC/Gen3 ECU (2nd batch) (zvargulis)

Appropriate timing, I have just spent the last week wrestling trying to make 350z coils fit our cars.
Due to their size and length its just not a good option as the metalwork required to make it fit is going to cost to much in machining time.
I have started leaning towards using ST215 or 1zz coils as suggested above.

I'm putting together a couple of kits for myself and some other mates using megasquirt.

Is anyone interested in a coil set/ cable loom/ fixture kit?
To suit this PCA that Jim is doing up, I would just need to know what the interfacing connector is from his PCA and cable routing path/ lengths.

I'm expecting a perspex prototype of a coil fixture in a fortnights time. (to suit gen3), I do have access to a gen2 if a gen 2 fixture is required.

I'm putting an order out this week for coils and connectors so let me know if you are interested and I will order extras. Coils will be third party.

Sorry Jim for hijacking.
Re:GI: Distributorless ignition/COP for Power FC/Gen3 ECU (2nd batch) (NoddE)

What you need besides my box:
-4pcs toyota denso caldina or 1zz ignition coils (im pretty sure its the 1zz and not 2zz engine coils, let me get back to you about that)
-Wiring 0.75-1.00 mm2
-Pins and connector housings for the coils.

And yes absolutely correct on the igniter thing.
If you have an ap engineering ecu for gen2 and a datalogit you can use it on a gen 2 though as you can then set the dwell times.

Re:GI: Distributorless ignition/COP for Power FC/Gen3 ECU (2nd batch) (antmcbane)

So with this kit you'd just buy coils with igniters - like the gm ones? Rather than the motorbike type listed in the OP?

What's stopping this working on a 2nd gen 3s-gte ECU?

Edit:
NVM my bad, the igniter controlls dwell time on the 2nd gen whereas on the 3rd gen the ecu controls dwell time. For those wondering - this means that the 2nd gen ecu isn't able to regulate the spark and thus kits such as these are not usable.
Re:GI: Distributorless ignition/COP for Power FC/Gen3 ECU (2nd batch) (tiff_lee)

NoddE
Just need to the two last people to get back to me. 5 interested, now i only get replies from 3.

haha always the case when it's time to get the wallet out
Re:GI: Distributorless ignition/COP for Power FC/Gen3 ECU (2nd batch) (NoddE)

Hi, cost will be as last time for this kind of kit, 190 usd incl shipping. Ive had 3 or 4 interested the last couple of month.
This will however be the last kind of kit i made.
Its made for coils with built in igniters.
Its cheaper as it includes less harnesses and connectors but it means you have to wire the coils to the box yourself (no big deal though).

Let me know if anyone is interested, easier to keep the price down if i can order more circuit boards at one time.

The price for the "coils with igniter" kit the last time was 190 USD and i hope i can be close to it this time as well.

Regards
Jimmy
Re:GI: Distributorless ignition/COP for Power FC/Gen3 ECU (2nd batch) (NoddE)

Yeah, might do one more batch depending on interest.
But will be the kit for coils with built in igniters.
