Thanks for linking this sale to the past. I can sleep at night again without pondering this.....lol

If ever I were to get another AW11, I'd want one that required very minimal work. Sounds like more work than my last AW11.

Yeah it's a fairly honest car and looks worth the 4k asking price.

If anyone else is interested in an adub for around that price, a Canberra Celica Group member is looking at selling his silvertop Aus delivered AW11.

yep; without being nasty towards the current seller, it was a much better buy then.

Interestingly, i think i actually remember it for sale on this forum around a year ago, from what would have been the previous-previous owner. Shots were in a garage from memory, and again, it was a bargain at the time then too..

RdS beat me to it. It sold for like 2k 4-5 months ago on eBay when it was unloved and with a shot clutch. I was watching it closely as it would have been a good possible donor car to restore mine.

You are right, someone should buy it and keep it going, why not look into it?
I am sure you'd be able to look after it judging by how you've looked after the lil red.

Poor car has had a hard time in the last few years. It looks as though this owner has done some work to keep it alive though.
Was for sale on ebay a couple months back, i assume when this guy bought it. no stickers, no front damage stock mudflaps, and black SSR type C's (or copy's). was covered in leaves and not driving thanks to a shot clutch or something. It was a bargain at the time.
before that owner had it, it was a box-hill car as-far-as-i-know. been around Melbourne for years, i always remember the Purple.

Hopefully someone buys it and keeps it going. It'd be a shame to part another.. :(

lol, it would be nice but I won't be flying over to check it out.
If everything is in working order, and body in good shape bar the fender and front bar, then I may buy it..
No way of confirming it though.

Potentially expensive project considering it's got an original high mileage motor, front damage. But yeah, if it were local & I could suss it out I would.

I would have definitely considered this.
If it was 1k or 500 cheaper, maybe I would even buy it to be a parts car.

I was considering it as well - but its in Melbourne and wouldn't be worth me trying to get it freighted up here.
