I watched a set of TRD headers go for $1000+ second hand and found that price laughable. People will pay anything for brand names. The best set of headers I brought for a 4age was a set of OBX 304 stainless headers from an ebay store in the USA.They were just over $400 landed and worked brilliant, they had very long secondaries and improved low rpm torque and response on my otherwise stock smallport motor. Only problem was they ended up being &amp;nbsp;expensive as i needed to have the bottom pipe modified to suit the rhd installation. They are a simple, mandrel bend, two piece 4-2-1 design and is significantly lighter then the 16V cast iron jobbies. I've seen them go for as low as $50 for the primaries, and most people just buy the SVT secondary pipes to bolt on them.&lt;br&gt; &amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt; If your going to spend $500, might as well get some real ones designed up and tuned to suit your requirements. They're all good now but don't assume they'll bolt straight up. You'll need to block off the o2 sensor port as the sensor is usually mounted further back than where the provision is on the headers. There is also no flange on the bottom end so you'll need to have one welded on. The pipes come close to your starter motor and oil filter hub so it would be in your best interest to heat wrap them before fitting them. I cleaned the welds up with a die grinder inside the ports as they were a bit nasty too. Overall they're reasonable for the price. There's nothing really wrong with the factory manifold other than the fact that they crack. I was supprised recently to see a non restored group a ae86 still running the stock manifold even though they were making 280 hp or there abouts at the time.
