I just wanted to thank everyone who came yesterday and made the Run the success it was. The roads were great, the weather fantastic, the traffic very light and the lunch stop was excellent. Storm Warden coming in his gangsta machine helped protect us as we voyaged south on the mountain back roads, passing very strange looking tobacco growing and lots of people in little villages who had an odd family resemblance." />" /> I still can't understand why all the road signs kept pointing to Nimbin and saying "locally grown".

Also excellent at the end of the Run was meeting Dubtoille's parents at their new 60 acre property near Tumbulgum in NSW. Tumbulgum is pronounced 'Tum-bowl-gmmm' , not 'Tumblegum' as we northerners have been saying it, so thanks Natalia " /> for this as it helped us to fit in with the locals " />" />. Not that the Queensland numberplates made us look any different at all.

Dubtoille's car is now running well and certainly has some go with the after-burner fitted, but that Storm Wardne gangsta machine, what can we say!! Its just amazing what a 6.8ltr V8 hemi MR2 can do." />

When we started the new yearly run calendar in January we said that we would experiment with alternative days for Runs, e.g. Saturday and Sunday, but like all good experiments it has helped us reach a conclusion about what day to hold the Runs on in future. So, in a few days time check out the revised Run Calendar and see what we have come up with!!

Again, a great day, a lot of fun, and to all those who couldn't make it you missed a top Run.

Unfortunately the other issue is my dad, he dosn't really want to sit in a car for a long time, not long till I have my P's though

If theres any shorter runs coming up that are on a Sunday, there is a very good chance I will be able to make it

To Storm Warden - no problems at all if you'd like to come. I will send you a Run Sheet. We now have another Spyder in the group so yours would make three if you can get it along to a Run.

To Dubtoille - we don't plan getting to Murwillumbah until about 2.00pm so the streets should be clear as the parade kicks off at midday. We have discovered a neat piece of road on the Run which will be great fun, and which I am sure most will not have driven around before, and it really suits these cars, so Murwillumbah really isn't a destination. We are planning to have lunch at Wiangaree so again Murwillumbah is really close to the end of this Run. Send me a PM about the road you know and I will see if we can fit it in. Looking forward to seeing you and Nat.

To Eric - we were looking forward to catching up for the first time but from some other posts I have seen you appear to have ongoing problems with the car. Scope is an incredible mechanic and should be able to help if you PM him.

Will unfortunately be unable to make this one as I'll be knee deep in wiring looms, solder fumes and lumpy idling 4AGE's, as I help Dom get his AW11 running on some modern EFI equipment :)

My Spyder need repair (yet again...) and will be in the shop, any chance i can come and stick to the back of the pack?

Id like to meet the club now days and maybe it will make me sell my beast and keep my spyder...

As you know I'm unable to attend this weekend's run (I would love to be able to attend as it will be a very entertaining Drive) as I'll be in South Australia until next week. I hope it's very successful.
BTW, on an MR2 Club cruise several years ago we had 23 MR2's on a run down through Numinbah Valley on weekend of Banana Festival. We entered Murwillumbah just as the main parade was underway and ended up mixed in with the procession. It was really funny as we were just behind the Banana Queen and got cheered as we drove down the main street. The spectators thought we were part of the parade!!

I was talking to my parents (my dads from Murwillumbah and they live right down the street from there in tumbolgum) and they said that the main st of Murwillumbah will be closed for the banana festival so not sure how the run sheet is looking but just keep that in mind. Also I know of an amazing road there that I think everyone would enjoy (except for the few blind corners are a bit scary sometimes) so as much as I hate to go off track of the run sheet, if we needed to avoid Murwillumbah because of the festival I can give you the details Walter
