(dylmrt)

Not all wheels are made equal. diameter, width and offset only refer to the mounting surfaces.

The sizes of the lip etc are not taken into accoutn so dfferent wheels with the same specs will measure completely differently at times.
Re:Coilover recommendation? (MR PLOW)

Hi Tuban,
I got the BR series, so exact same.
Rims are Work CR Kai 17x7.5 +30 and 17x8.5 +33 with Federal RS-R's 215/40 & 235/40.
Might be you need a spacer to give you a little more clearance?
Re:Coilover recommendation? (tuban)

I've had wheels off a couple of times now and been scratching my head how the coilovers will fit. The bit that looks like it will just touch is the rim edge and it might clear if the spring is rotated but this is getting a bit close for my liking. When I went back to MR2 Australia, I saw that you were talking about BR racing inverted and I'm not sure we have the same type. I've got the BR series. I was also wondering what rim sizes & offsets you are running. I am running 17x7 rims with 34mm offset and 205/40 and 225/40 front and back.
Re:Coilover recommendation? (Tree)

Yeh 10 hours is what the Two's R Us instruction said as well but my MR2 is kinda of a bane for them lol however they do a pretty awesome job on everything else non-engine related.
Interesting I had twos guys in the passenger seat (not at the same time LOL awkward...) and both said my car was quite stiff, both of them had coilovers, one of them had BCs on an Altezza (but softened down a bit). Those bushing did stiffen things up quite a bit after I changed them along with ball joints, tie rods etc
Re:Coilover recommendation? (Tree)

Oh yeh I do have poly bushes and they are soo cheap for our cars since there's not a lot but I didn't do it myself, took mech about 10 hours so labour intensive. I'm just getting grippy tyres I reckon that's good enough for now as I haven't even done a track day yet so any mod with be wasted on me! :P thanks for the advice tho
Re:Coilover recommendation? (Ant1)

You could still upgrade other handling parts for alot cheaper.. Why not replace the bushes to nolathane bushes, if you know how to do it it's cheap. Or even upgrade the strut braces or sway bars.

Re:Coilover recommendation? (Tree)

3.5 seconds improvement?? That's heaps lol. With so many urgent things to do on my car before the big 2013 Track Day challenge I've calculated spending more than 2k already before touching suspension so I decided going stock but it looks like I'll be at a serious disadvantage lol. Hoping my power increase can compensate a little...
Re:Coilover recommendation?
