Just took his family to Sovereign Hill for the day to make a day of it. Great guy!
Re:Smashed front :( (Reddtarga)

Congratulations, great to see this car rescued.

I don't know how fussy you are, but that kink in the front lip could probably be removed with a heat gun without damaging the paint if you heat it carefully.
You may be able to do the job without removing it if you heat the lip front and back in the kink area not quite too hot to touch, and use rubber gloves to press it out straight.

Mine car was worse than that on both the lip and lower edge of the bumper, but with a little time and effort I got it close to perfect.
Re:Smashed front :( (track_mr2)

I'm 99% sure I got a pair of JDM (yellow) fog lights sitting under my parents house in Box Hill.
Re:Smashed front :( (purple5ive)

nice work bringing it back, now get some fog lights and cover those holes up in the front.
Re:Smashed front :( (sprigs)

I never had the chance to drive it yet (well only from one side of my drive way to the other) I have to get the radiator fans sorted and bleed or change the coolant first before I take it out for a spin.
Re:Smashed front :( (esskay)

Nice to see it back! That is until your up close then you'll notice things. Glad to have the car back though. Big thanks to joshn18, bought his wreck off him with all the parts needed to get mine fixed.

My sard bar will be sorely missed, but no more scraping!

Re:Smashed front :( (chase_d)

Looks perfect in the pictures?!
Good to hear it was saved from being wrecked.

Well done on going original bits too (bumper+lip)
Re:Smashed front :( (sprigs)

Ok i got my car back. Its not perfect but good enough. I still have things to sort out. <strike>The first thing I did was check error codes, diagnostics don't work anymore wtf! I bridge e1 and te1 with a paperclip and turn the key, all i get is a relay click sound coming from the front any ideas?</strike>

Re:Smashed front :( (sprigs)

Looks like work on it is in progress so can't back out now, I went to see Huey as well, he was nice enough to be willing to come down to my area to check out the car and assess the damage and provide an estimate but oh well.
Re:Smashed front :( (sprigs)

hmm, the person who's going to be doing the repairing is my dads friend who is a smash repairer. I got a low repair quote which means this is more of a side job repair for him and priority will given to his other jobs hes doing. I don't even know if he's started working on my car yet. So there's a chance I may be able opt out and send it Huey's way, but I'll have to head down there and ask for a quote for the repair, I bought a wreck from a forum member as well, that means I gota tow both cars down there.

wow just realised Anso auto is only a short walk from north richmond station and I go past it everyday for work :O
