(Carmikey)

You can but the price is Bloody criminal - some $250 ++. Graham, that is why I havent got them on my ride - as nice as they are, for that price I would expect to get some discount off when being done by a revenue camera.
Re:WTB - Set of standard springs for gen 2. (Carmikey)

Update: Regarding 1991 G-Limited mr2, owner (MR2D2). Finally passed full vehicle inspection (Regency S.A. pits). Thanks to Graham (Essdub) for supplying the required parts. Now registered with black XX plates. Another MR2 for Adelaide streets.
Re:WTB - Set of standard springs for gen 2. (MRTurbo)

Wow $250 bucks, I didn't go that long ago and it was about $180 IIRC....another revenue stream that place is.

I would NOT be hiding any turbo timer or boost controller under the dash area, because that was one of first places the inspector went feeling around under there on mine. Best policy is to get rid of it completely. They aren't as dumb as some people think and they inspect turbo cars all day every day...
Luckily my turbo timer was integrated in to the alarm so I just disabled it and I didn't have a boost controller either.

Good luck with it Carmikey to getting it through first go
Re:WTB - Set of standard springs for gen 2. (EssDub)

Hide the turbo timer and controller behind the dash panel below and to the right of the steering wheel. Dead easy to re-install later on :)

Re:WTB - Set of standard springs for gen 2. (Carmikey)

Well, took the MR2 (G-limited) Gen 2 3sgte conversion thru the 'Vehicle Inspection Station) Regency park today, what do you know.. It has to go for a full roadworthy inspection ($250 bucks) gone up a little since last time I visited. Reason being is there is no compliance plate fitted. So things on the (to do) list:

1. Removal of adjustable boost controller
2. Removal or hide very well the turbo timer
3. Replace Coilovers with standard struts / springs
4. Replace exhaust with standard or one under 90db & cat is operational
5. Remove non compliant sun visors
6. Ensure all lights etc are operational
7. No fluid leaks (anywhere)
8. Put on standard 15' wheels.

I think that is about it for now, until I can think of something else.

Re:WTB - Set of standard springs for gen 2. (MRTurbo)

beagle_senior
dont like you chances mate, from stories i have heard, they are very thorough with inspections at regency, just ask josh mrturbo

Yes in a full roadworthy they go over the thing with a fine toothed comb...
but I think with an 'ID check', so long as the car looks clean and stock there shouldn't be any reason for them to put it up on a hoist, so you shouldn't have any problems IMO. Also, having seen it I think it'll get through easy.
Re:WTB - Set of standard springs for gen 2.
