well very sad day as my spyder has gone to its new home up northern nsw to a very happy older lady which im happy about, she was almost in tears of excitement when she seen it so makes me feel very happy with selling it
but exciting things to come with our wreck spyder which were setting up as our track car!

Car is looking good!
Be interesting to see this at the next meet when I finally decide to come to another one.
Be interesting to compare the difference with a low boost turbo vs roots blower on these cars.
Water/methanol might be a good idea but you will properly need a programmable ecu otherwise you might run rich when it is injecting the water/meth mixture (this is what happened to mine)

Stock IAT is integrated into the MAF. Any decent PFC/Scanner device will report on it.

Just be mindful of hot intake temperatures.

Even with modest boost like 6psi, that will easily be enough to break something if you happen to flat-foot it somewhere in a hurry! Best thing to do would be to look into some water/meth injection - cheap(ish) and easy to set up.

No thoughts of intercooling?

These kits never were setup for a intercooler, No point messing around with a intercooler, as essdub said won't make a difference when it's only a small boost!
As time goes on see how it goes!

At 4-6psi, it likely won't really notice any benefit or change from it.

Anything higher and they seem to throw rods, regardless of the cooling, haha.

Been enjoying working on the Mr2, new shocks all round, installed my trd sway bars, turbo, changed to black interior!
And gave her polish so she'd look good at the blacklist meet!

As a gift for my Birthday my spyder became Turbo!
It's a Power Enterprise Turbo from Japan! Pretty much was plug and play except for rewiring O2 sensors, Oil return and colder spark plugs!
I'm currently getting 4psi boost but will be adding a boost controller to give me its potential of 6psi, which I'm finding 4psi plenty anyways lol!
She is running great! Took her for a run to homebush for the blacklist car meet!

Picked up a bumper a few months ago made by team jetspeed when spyder first came out. Only ever sold one set so abit unique!
looks better on the track car lol

so after that put the spyder back together

Nothing to exciting happening with the spyder.
Installed new trd bracing

did some brake work (joel changed rotors for me as ive never done brakes) but i changed front sway bar links

Then enjoyed a nice cruise

Then encountered a steep driveway

broke the mountings so got some bumper straps and while the bumper was off redid the headlights as they were going yellow and finally mounted c-one side vents
