Hiya all, Name shane ,been a member going on ten years , I have a 1991 mr2 turbo that i bought off a member from Queensland (Gordon). It had been in the shed collecting dust due to injuries, Then my bro said it was about time the mr2 live again,so for the last 2 years we have got her up and running ,apart from an idle issue she has been a peach,have replaced more things than i can remember, the usual turbo,koni and elbach suspension, stonie hoses avid rims, radiator, exhaust etc etc . I will try and get some photos up soonish.My problem now is south australia doesnt have a club and i want to club rego her, can someone please email me at fox1971.sm@gmail.com with any info so i can make it happen.

Thanks rynex, will definitely post some pics soon. She wont be winning any beauty pageants right now but I'll probably start a build thread do detail the journey.

Looking forward to being part of the scene, have already had local members reaching out to offer helpful advice. I'd heard that the MR2 community was really helpful & welcoming, was nice to have that confirmed. Cheers!

Hey guys, just bought my first MR2 off a mate of mine. Red JDM SW20, hardtop, manual, turbo. Not sure exactly the year since the plate in the frunk doesn't seem to list it but Im guessing pre 94. Its getting towed to my mechanic on Tuesday or Wednesday so should be on the road very shortly. It sat dormant for a while so hopefully I'll just be able to throw some fresh rego on it without having to go over the pits. She has some pretty rough paint (clear coat peeling) but I don't mind cos it seems like a bit of a bargain. Been reading some of the build threads on here, including a couple of local ones, so Im pretty hyped, cant wait to drive the thing!

Is the SW20 really that much higher than the aw11? I'm already scared ****less of breaking my front fender with how low it is :|

Hiya Guys, Been a while since ive been on about 7 or so years.Have 1991 mr2 turbo hard top :) ( grey import) dark green in colour with gold simmons, bought off gordon in qld.Am starting to get back into it after many problems with health.It has koni inserts just waiting to be put in,Not yet sure what lowered springs to put in,have a stonie full silicon hose set ,many other things too many to mention. Very lazy writer lol..any ways happy to be back in the swing of things.

I'm Graham, based in the Adelaide Hills. I have an SW20 NA which I've had a few years now which I use for hill climb events and MSCASA super sprint. Would be interested in recommendations and advice about local suppliers & knowledge as I'm looking to do some upgrades and mods. Also, would be interested in hitting the track with some other MR2's - and getting more out to the Supersprint which is a great series. Not sure what other local events MR2 drivers are going to?

Hoping to get my hands on either a AW11 or SW20 model. Seems to be a bit tough to find at the moment. Once I get one I'd def be keen on some club runs etc.
