I get cars sent here from melboure, and engines from overseas, so I give up asking the question about where things are

as I said before, all the prices are on our web page. www.roadandtrack.net.au.
all the cams are the same price. springs vary in price a bit, dempends on cams. I've given you a starting price on ECU, but you can pay a lot more and get better ones. the more expensive the ECU, the easier/cheaper to tune . you have to tell me what you are trying to achieve s I can work it out

if you buy a whole lot of stuff in 1 go, then I'll haggle a deal.

I'll hapily work out freight once we agree on what you want. it wont be much at all

I suggest, you look at the price list, then call me to work it out

see ya

Terry

RE: performance for a na mr2 (vince_s)

the only problem is that you are located at queensland..im in Sydney NSW..so there is no possible way for me to get my car there.. although is it possible for you to be able to send the parts down to me?.. as i can get them fitted in and dyno tuned here..althugh i cannot get the parts.. how much would iot cost me parts and postage for the cams valve springs etc.. (whatever i need) for the most beneficial cams?

thanks

RE: performance for a na mr2 (Road and Track)

Vince, I clearly said "labour". I included all our dyno tuning time in this, but parts are extra----see the price list on the web site.

I think you should call or visit and we can discuss what realistically you can achieve with the budget you have in mind.

thanks

RE: performance for a na mr2 (vince_s)

the gen 3 model engine sounds great but i like to build my own..thanks anyway..

soo for the better cams (3000 labor..) is that just the labor or parts included..so if i was to come to your garagae and give you my car to do all the above you sed..how much would i need to pay in total?

RE: performance for a na mr2 (Road and Track)

the parts prices are all on the web site. cams, springs, cam gears, cam belts, seals etc etc. New ECU's start at $2000
allow $800 labour to change cams including re-shimming. you would expect to see about 15kw improvement
allow $3000 labour to remove head, change cams, springs, re-shim, new stem seals, re-seat valves, fit new ECU, dyno tune etc. you would expect to see about 35kw improvement.

I expect to have a good high perforamce Gen 3 NA engine coming out of a car in the next few months. this might be a better deal for you as it already has all the good internals, forged pistons, lightened crank, ported head, cams, etc etc. Expect about $5000 for that engine

RE: performance for a na mr2 (vince_s)

how ,much would be the basic cams( without changin vavle springs or ecu).?

and how much would it be for the higer performance cams with the new valve srpings and ecu?

as well as the power output difference...

RE: performance for a na mr2 (vince_s)

ok great..and how much would that be with the adjustable cams and replacing the ecu with the one needed...and does this include the dyno tune needed with the cams?..could you give me an estimate price..and will this greatly increase the performance..if so how much by?..

RE: performance for a na mr2 (speedracer)

what i sthe power output you would sustain from that it wouldn't be all that much would it?
