We share a name car and colour but not an engine haha. What an awesome package man, would love to see vids like everyone has requested haha.

I was planning on doing this but I'm having a love affair with boost and not ready to part with it for some time despite the weight save an power increase haha.
RE: Matts 2GR-FE SW20 (SteveWOates)

I want to do this. I just assumed keeping them separate would be the easiest way. Guess not haha. Anyways it looks good. Sure it sounds sweet as well.
RE: Matts 2GR-FE SW20 (matt234)

Just1n_Mc

What diameter pipe did they make the Y pipe in?

The pipes off the headers are 2.5" and it goes into a 3"....... if i remember correctly
RE: Matts 2GR-FE SW20 (Just1n_Mc)

What diameter pipe did they make the Y pipe in?
RE: Matts 2GR-FE SW20 (matt234)

Adrian

How come you've connected the 2 sides of the exhaust together after the headers only to split them again? Why not just keep both sides separate all the way to the exhaust tips? Should flow better because you won't need that 180 degree bend (in the picture) and it should sound pretty cool.

Sooo many reasons, firstly the rear bank runs back like that because the manifolds come down fairly far and it would be an extremely tight turn to bring it over the cross member. Secondly its run that way to try and keep both pipes at relatively equal lengths. Thirdly where they come together was designed to act like a crossover which at the very least stops the system sounding raspy.
The guys who made the system did an outstanding job, i cant praise them enough.
RE: Matts 2GR-FE SW20 (Adrian)

How come you've connected the 2 sides of the exhaust together after the headers only to split them again? Having said that the engine feels very limited with the stock ecu. Im hoping to go to a standalone ecu soon to fix this. I am impressed tho with how good my fuel economy is considering what im driving. Im getting way more k's out of a tank now than with my stock 3s and making a heap more power.
RE: Matts 2GR-FE SW20 (SW20_3sgte)

Exhaust looks fantastic i love it :)

I look forward to seeing a video.

Have you driven an Aurion prior to doing the conversion?
I'm sure the car goes considerably better than a stock aurion due to the weight reduction on the MR2 and the E153 Manual box.

Any comments on the experience for us less fortunate haha
RE: Matts 2GR-FE SW20 (matt234)

shameless bump so people can see my exhaust :)
I had planned to put up some videos but everytime i took one it made it seem as tho i was doing illegal things so i decided against it...for now.
RE: Matts 2GR-FE SW20 (stanysurfer)

mmm I like
