The V4 will be Ok. good luck without a dyno

RE: computer (Simon Green)

yeah i noticed the wolf maps are pretty ordinary. i'm a qualified mechanic, i've got a gas analyser and had experience tuning e-manage before but no dyno. i've got a 91 woth gen 2 motor, wolf version 4 plug in, 550cc injectors, hks 272 cams, hks gt2835r turbo, hks 1.6mm head gasket, hks adjustable cam gears, 40 thou over arias pistons and eagle rods. what sort of power do you think it will be good for at 22 psi? Do you think the v500 is worth getting instead of the version 4 plug in?

RE: computer (Road and Track)

yep, have used new and old ones. no particular hassles for us, but a big problem for inexperienced people. it is impossible to properly tune an engine with the sort of bits you mention, without lots of experience, a dyno and exhaust gas analysis gear.
If you are just building up an engine with all these bits, be prepared for lots of troubles to get it running unless you have a suitable Wolf map. The "start-up" maps just are not good enough.

RE: computer (Simon Green)

do you find the wolf to be a good ecu? i have a version 4 plug in to go in mine, are they easy to tune with? i'm thinking about going to the new v500 as i'm still building my motor.
