I was very surprised that RACV actually did cover it let alone be cheaper and at a higher market value.

I have my F350 insured with Shannons and was only around $140. There was only around $6 difference between 3rd party and full comp. The reason for this was although Youi worked out about $150 dearer per year, but the excess was $1200 less than Just Car. With Youi I'm paying $2000pa with a $2000 excess whereas Just Car was $1850pa with $3200 excess.

RE: Insurance (-Totenkopf-)

Shannons on the Exige, just over $1100 a year, insured for $75k, limited usage policy.
RE: Insurance (MANDALAY)

Been with Shannons for 3 years. They know my car and what it is and how its looked after.

My premium is less than $1000 and is insured nearly $15,000 more than any other company would.

Anyone quoting company A is cheaper than B should look at what the payout figure is , i.e sum agreed .

Thats when it could look cheaper.

I entertained Youi as i was sick of their adds. In garage , only driven week ends and they would cost more than shannons firstly and value was $20,000 less than shannons, thats even before quoting any of the modifications.

Shannons for me
RE: Insurance (Mr2gtracer)

I've been with Shannon's since I got my car and haven't had an issue with them. All up I think my CTP is like$500-odd + like $330 Rego. I've listed all the mods on it and they just took it all in. Very happy with them. The only thing is that they won't have the MR2 listed on their site so you have to call them
RE: Insurance (Nik_Lee)

I currently have my 2 with Just Car the problem I had was most insurance companies wouldn't insure it as soon as I mentioned it was a JDM turbo import. I was fairly happy with what Just Car quoted me and went with them, interestingly I had also considered Shannons as I had heard good things about them but when I checked online I also saw they didn't offer an option for a daily driven car but by the sound of it I should have given them a call about it.
when my insurance comes up for renewal I will be giving Shannons a call to see how they compare.
RE: Insurance (Carmikey)

I've got my 96GTS JDM turbo mr2 insured with Shannons, agreed value of $16,000 premium $760 p/yr. Excess is $400.

Have been with em for yrs, found them to be great, with all my past mr2, either stock standard or highly modified.
RE: Insurance (Shaz)

REDMR2RED
After the 30th Anniversary Event, a few MR2 owners spoke to Shannon's about non performance MR2, and as a result Shannon's have reviewed there pricing policy as at 4 July 2014.
