May be alright - either way, at my rate will be a few months till I need to worry about it.
RE: Keatons G Limited SW! ....Its quite slow.... (chase_d)

Thought I would update this.
I did in fact get proven to be 100% not at fault. The other party did not have insurance. Thankfully, my policy states in such a scenario I get paid the market value (up to $5000).

I was paid out just shy of that (~$4850) and kept the wreck. Considering my intial purchase cost, I was quite chuffed with that arangement.

So after close to 8 months it sits like this.

My neighbourhood has now dubbed this Herby, simply put - the little thing will not die.

Basically need to finsh the body off (wiper cowl, gen 3 tail lights, foglights, headlight surroumds etc), reassemble interior (GT leather/suede seats) , regas AC, put the Enkeis back on it and then use it a a daily.

RE: Keatons G Limited SW! ....Its quite slow.... (chase_d)

Update! (actually quite a slow update - happened about 2 months ago)

After close examination. Damage isn't that bad. Structurally it appears to be fine as the poor headlight took the force of the impact.

Oh and the idiot that hit me, he wasnt insured, and I jump online to discover this when you search his car (day of accident) ...

RE: Keatons G Limited SW! ....Its quite slow.... (chase_d)

Not sure what's on front, haven't got to that bit of the car yet.

Doubt it's the sway bar causing it as when we changed the wheels we noticed how much play there was. It was ski happening at even slow speeds

Put it down to wrong wheels flogging stuff out at a quicker rate.

RE: Keatons G Limited SW! ....Its quite slow.... (Reddtarga)

"Also discovered running a whiteline adjustable rear sway bar! Score! "
Chase, what bar do you have on the front?
If the rear is too stiff compared to the front, it can make the car unstable and contribute to sway.

RE: Keatons G Limited SW! ....Its quite slow.... (chase_d)

I guess I should update this:

Some solid hours from 'two mr2's' (Pete) and a little bit from me finally got this up and running good.

First up was a simple oil change on my part, and Pete setting to work on the broken/snapped/twisted/screwed window regulator. Normal oil change turned out to be a b*tch, NA is so so much easier!

Previously was throwing up fault codes, going into limp mode, could hear turbo spooling away but going no where and all round drove like an absolute pig.

Repaired the dicky spark plug lead and disconnected the (what looked to be a jammed open) manual boost controller and put it back to stock. Its my first turbo car and I (should) be happy with stock boost settings.

After resetting ECU, managed to fault the Knock Sensor (code 52). Replaced with known working one from an early Gen2 (to my suprise, even tough both are rev2 mine being a 93 had different wiring colours to the earlier rev2) and fired it up and burbled away nicely for first time.

Next was to inspect wheels, the SSR wheels turned out to be (as I figured) non staggered
17x9+22 all round. As I found, most common sized wheels found on 32GTRs not a SW20!
Replaced with non staggred 15x6.5" supra wheels temporarily till I decide what shoes I want to put on (Enkei RP01, Work Meister S1s or the RPF1s i've been hoarding)

Took it for a drive, engine was driving nice and strong - but mechanically far from decent. Backing off the power - whole car sways, steering is vague an brakes need replacing. but all in all, quite happy

Also discovered running a whiteline adjustable rear sway bar! Score!

And because we love pics (well i do at least )

My 2 MR2's and Petes 2 'MR2s
Pretty sure order:
GT (AMP)
G Limited (AMP)
GT (SMG)
G Limited (uh...)
RE: Keatons G Limited SW! ....Its quite slow....
