Don't think you will find too many different ratios for S54. Torque of a half decent 5SGTE will rip a S54 to bits. They have several weaknesses. You definitely require E153. They are much stronger throughout with equal length bigger axles, hubs, C/V joints etc. I should have complete kit for sale shortly. Except for engine.

Some of you may have seen I'm after the e153 full conversion for my 1990 n/a sw20, with that being said if I can't get the stuff I need is it possible to build an equivalent s54 with lsd to be just as strong, new gears+synchros different ratios upgrade axles etc? Or am I wasting my time, planning to have it bolted behind a 5sgte around the 350-400 hp mark.

Has someone done something similar?
