Wheel Options for 17x7 and 17x8 (Revh)

Hi all,

I've had my 1998 Mr2 for just over a year now and I've still got the stock 15inch rims on it. I've been looking to go to a 17inch setup but I've really struggled to find a wheel that I like and that's light, the right offset, and wont completely break the bank.
I've been eyeing some Konig Hypergrams 17x8 17x9 (they'll ship) but concerned about the legality, with it not being legal in Vic that is.
I would like to stay legal for insurance reasons, 17x7 and 17x8 seems to be the safe option. I was looking into RPF1s but I'm not a fan of the convex look which occurs at that size/offset.

What wheels do you guys run/recommend?
Does anyone run 17x8 and 17x9 today? Whats your experience with them (with insurance and police etc..) if any?
